Drowning Lilies at Evenings on Campus

Local theatre group Aleateia is putting up a one-act version of their successful play Drowning Lilies on the 29th, 30th, 31st July at 8.00pm, at the MITP Theatre in St Christopher Street Valletta as part of Evenings on Campus 2005, SUPA (Summer University of Performing Arts).

The play tells the story of a pair of Siamese twins who were exploited by their mother as performers during the 1920s. The twins fall in love with the same man – Edmund Zanter – a minor American poet of the era.

Evenings on Campus is organised by the Kooperattiva Kulturali Universitarja in collaboration with the University of Malta, the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts and the Teatru Manoel.

Tickets at Lm3 can be purchased: at the door at MITP or from the Communications Office, Room 119, Administration Building, on Campus; Malta Council for Culture and the Arts, 230 Republic Street Valletta; NSTS; online by visiting www.teatrumanoel.com; Sapienzas Bookshop; and Agenda Bookshops.
