MaltaCulture is a hub provided by locals and expats living in Malta with the aim of highlighting the uniqueness of Malta as a travel destination.
Malta is a unique blend of cultures, enriched both through exposure to foreign rulers in the country’s rich history, as well as in modern-day society. Our little island nation and its people’s culture are rapidly developing as one of the EU’s youngest members, and expats account for over 28% of the total population (2023 NSO statistics).
Our team loves their home country and shares their passion on MaltaCulture through rich content that helps travellers and others interested in Malta understand what makes the country so special.
Born and bred on the island of Malta, Christine knows this island nation like the back of her hand. Although she's a local, she loves being a tourist in her own country, with a curious spirit.
Being a hobbyist photographer and travel enthusiast, she's a keen wanderer and shares her knowledge of the island’s beloved locations, local experiences, food and flavours and more.
I’m a French expat who arrived in Malta in 2017 and immediately fell in love with it.
Ever since I have been spending my free time exploring every nook and cranny of the Maltese Islands and now know it inside out. Its historical cities, colourful streets, turquoise waters and laid-back lifestyle no longer hold any secrets from me!
I’m always on the lookout for new things to do, secret corners to explore, events to attend and local specialities to taste. I also enjoy taking pictures of this highly photogenic country I’m proud to call my second home.
I’m happy to pick up my pen (or better said, my keyboard) to share my experience and my best tips here with you.
As a Dutch expat in Malta, I’m always exploring the Maltese islands. I am constantly on the lookout for the best places to go, the most delicious food to savour, and the most indulging events to experience.
Whenever I’m not happily writing about my experiences, you can find me scuba diving in the Mediterranean or hiking around the islands.
In the three years I’ve lived in Malta, I got to know the ins and outs of Maltese culture. My mix of Maltese and international friends is perfect for exploring local gems with the enthusiasm of a newcomer.
I’m here to write about my experiences, and I’m more than happy to share my local and cultural knowledge with you!
