Denner Clarinet Quartet at the Museum of Archaeology

The National Museum of Archaeology and other museums will be open for visitors from 6.00pm on the occasion of Notte Bianca – Lejl Imdawwal thanks to the collaboration of Heritage Malta. The National Museum of Archaeology setting will provide an enhanced backdrop for the Denner Clarinet Quartet. The classical recital is one of the several events being held in Valletta on October 14, for Notte Bianca – Lejl Imdawwal. The concert starts at 7.15pm and ends at 8.45pm.

The Denner Clarinet Quartet’s programme will feature works by Albinioni, Mozart, Rossini, Crusell, Arrieu, Harvey and Sciberras. The group is made up of Lino Pirotta, William Debattista, Stephen Dimech and Christopher M. Camilleri. The Denner Clarinet Quartet has performed in several concerts and aid events in Malta and their repertoire covers the classical, romantic and contemporary periods.

Organised and presented by the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts, under the auspices of the Ministry for Tourism and Culture, in collaboration with the National Lotteries for Good Causes Fund, Ministry of Finance, Notte Bianca – Lejl Imdawwal promises to be an extensive night of arts, exhibitions, parades, performances, installations, re-enactments and tours – all within 12 hours.

From 5.00pm onwards, from City Gate down to the Mediterranean Conference Centre and from the Upper Barrakka across to Independence Square, the public will be spoilt for choice by a myriad of arts and culture staged in such a way that one can enjoy several events of different genre throughout the night.

Other museums will be open for public viewing and these include: the Palace Armoury and State Rooms at the Grand Master’s Palace, Casa Rocca Piccola, Toy Museum, the Great Siege Exhibition, and the Knight Hospitaliers at the Mediterranean Conference Centre. Admission fee for the above museums is half price for adults and children are free

Notte Bianca – Lejl Imdawwal is supported by the Valletta Local Council, Malta Tourism Authority, the Westin Dragonara Resort Malta and the official radio Capital 88.7.
